Natural Gas Main Extensions

Natural Gas may not be available on every street in the area. It may be available several blocks away or just a few houses away. If you are interested in having a natural gas line installed at your home or business, Bluefield Gas Company may have to run a main gas extension from the end of the gas main to accommodate your request.

In that case, Bluefield Gas will complete an economic evaluation of the project before a gas line would be considered. During that evaluation, a natural gas survey will be taken to determine how many possible customers are considering having natural gas installed to their address. Once that survey is complete, Bluefield Gas Company will determine if the project has enough demand to continue with the project. Normal time frame usually takes several weeks depending on our work load at the time of the request.
